What Vin really wants today: To give a big GeekLikeMe 'welcome to the world' to my new nephew, Dylan. Welcome to life, kiddo!

Fitting, in a subjective kind of way more or less.

Stuff to do for today:

• Leave work early to go meet new nephew in person
• Round up all small work tasks and complete them before this afternoon
• Research yet again why SQL server keeps crashing into oblivion at particular times during day
• Actually, the reason is quite obvious but the technical explanation would be boring and drawn out
• State that the movie "Dan in Real Life" was a very underrated movie and Mad and I enjoyed it highly
• ...and Steve Carell's character didn't for one second make me think - "hey look, its Michael Scott from The Office" - kudos
• Move onto personal goal of building a my very own Mac application... that is actually useful
• Continue building and scripting personal collection of newly developed Mac applications after buying some much needed reading material
• My random number generator kicks ass
• My fake employee data entry system kicks ass
• My fake used car database kicks ass
• Move onto integrating web services into next app
• Coincidentally, above item happens to be subject of next chapter in Cocoa programming book
• Report back when application is actually useful
