- Airbnb's new brand identity seems to have a lot of people scratching their heads.
If you hadn't seen it already, Airbnb has a brand new look and feel along with a brand new logo called The Bélo. The new mark, which is supposed to convey belonging, has instead become an Internet parody due to it's multiple similarities to certain obvious human anatomy. Personally, I see the planchette from a Ouiji board. The rest of you need to get your mind out of the gutter.

- Bret Victor's not-so-brief rant on the future of interaction design.
If you haven't seen Microsoft's video entailing what they think the future of technology holds, you should watch it (readily available on source URL as an embedded clip). So watch that video and then read Victor's thoughts on the matter. That being said, I do have a minor point of contention. I did get some hands-on time with a Kinect-enabled Xbox 360 this past weekend and it was a fun, dare I say, semi-magical experience. I highly reccomend Double Fine's Once Upon a Monster (even the demo is fun).

- Mozilla to do away with version numbers in Firefox with new non-numbered version update.
Google has taught us all that people are too busy to remember version numbers these days. It's better just to keep updating software and have to worry about pesky version number conventions. Mozilla thinks this is a good idea and has decided to adopt this release schedule for future non-version-numbered releases of Firefox. Good for them.
- MTA releases renderings of the new Apple Store coming to Grand Central Station.
The title of this article is a little misleading as there is really only one rendering to look at over on The Real Deal's website. AppleInsider has some of the other renderings, albiet in a less vibrant (and boring) form. Aside from the new Apple Store, Grand Central will also be home to a brand new Shake Shack.

- Old Spice commercial guys to do battle via Internet popularity contest.
Dear Old Spice, there is no need for a contest here. Isaiah Mustafa should be your permanent spokesman. If you want more information other than the previous two sentences know that Mustafa's opponent happens to be none other than Fabio. You can watch some of the back and forth videos between Mustafa and Fabio over on Mashable. It's all in the delivery. Night vision top hat!

- Disney testing out new mug technology in an effort out to stop drink refill abuse.
The rampant use of hotel guests taking advantage of their refill privelages have finally put Disney over the edge. DIS Unplugged reports that they are currently testing new mugs that have embedded RFID chips in them. If you've exhausted your free refill privelages for that day, no soda dispensed for you. Take that, thrifty guests!

- Twenty-six cool And unusual bed designs for your sleepy viewing pleasure.
My pillow-top bed is looking pretty boring compared to this list of non-boring beds by the folks over at coincidentally named BoringPanda.com. Sidenote: that may be one of the coolest domain names I've come across this year which is neither coincidental or boring. Mind blown.
- Pandora decides that it is finally time to go the way of HTML5.

- Start your week off with a smile and journey over to Isengard with your pal Saruman.
Make sure that you are not drinking any sort of mead or eating Elven bread whilst watching this quick video. It may travel as far Rohan before settlling near the white tree of Gondor before being expunged from your nose. Interesting to note that Saruman can add trolls to the list of creatures once bred at Isengard.
