- Turns out that one in four U.S. employees have no paid vacation time.
The United States is the only advanced economy with no guaranteed vacation time for workers, and most Americans aren't even aware that guaranteed time off is common elsewhere in the world. While the guaranteed number of days off for employees in the U.S. is zero, workers in the European Union get at least 20 days per year, not including public holidays.
- Airbnb's new brand identity seems to have a lot of people scratching their heads.
If you hadn't seen it already, Airbnb has a brand new look and feel along with a brand new logo called The Bélo. The new mark, which is supposed to convey belonging, has instead become an Internet parody due to it's multiple similarities to certain obvious human anatomy. Personally, I see the planchette from a Ouiji board. The rest of you need to get your mind out of the gutter.

- A neat tutorial on how to make your very own melted crayon art.
Going to have to try this out with my kids at some point in the near future. We have enough leftover crayons laying around the house to make several of these.

- Have a peek at some concept art for Pixar's 2013-2014 movies and beyond.
In 2014 it's their if-dinosaurs-didn't-go-extinct movie titled The Good Dinosaur, directed by Bob Peterson, with a tease we've seen before. In 2015 it's Pete Docter's 'Movie That Takes You Inside the Mind', now titled The Inside Out; and in 2016 they've also got Lee Unkrich's movie about Día de los Muertos, which we really don't know much about at all. Notably missing is Andrew Stanton's sequel Finding Nemo 2.

- Nirvana reunion song to be part of soundtrack to Dave Grohl's directorial debut film.
The song you heard last night at the 12/12/12 concert (if you stayed up late enough) was titled 'Cut Me Some Slack'. This song is the result of the Nirvana reunion / Paul McCartney mashup and it will serve as part of the soundtrack to Sound City. Sound City ity is a film that Dave Grohl directed. It's a documentary chronicling the history of the Sound City recording studio over in Van Nuys, California. It has a notable history with some of the most legendary artists in music history laying down tracks there.

- Nirvana reuniting tonight with Paul McCartney filling in for Kurt Cobain. Wait, what?
This unexpected bit of news should make for an interesting music performance this evening. Sorry Wednesday night programming - consider my television viewing and whatever other planned activities blocked off for the night. Good on you Sandy Benefit concert, good on you. Here's to hoping for a Scentless Apprentice > Polythene Pam > Polly medley.

- Upcoming Star Wars 1313 video game getting some helping hands from all facets of LucasFilms.
Now that Disney has acquired LucasArts some interesting news is starting to trickle out regarding their games division. It seems that all of the different entities under LucasFilms such as Industrial Light and Magic, Skywalker Sound, Lucas Animation, and LucasArts are all collobarating on this next generation title. Star Wars 1313 will take place in the seedy underbelly of Corsuscant which alone sounds like an interesting premise. Whatever does come out of this Disney/Lucas effort it will most likely be better than The Force Unleashed 2 by default (zing).

- Rumors swirling that Disney's Hollywood Studios will be getting a Radiator Springs makeover.
While this news is by no means official it sounds like a formal announcement may be right around the corner. Full disclosure: I am a gigantic Disney nerd. My kids, by association, are also gigantic Disney nerds. But they also happen to be huge fans of the Cars movies. Ask us to recite any line and you'll hear the whole movie. The recently opened Cars Land in California has been met with postivive reviews from fans and non-fans of the franchise. Being that we reside on the East Coast, a trip to Florida is way more feasible than a trip out to California. Ka-chow!

- Snag an enjoyable Mario Kart clone on the Xbox 360 for just $15.
I played the demo of this a while back and really enjoyed it. To me it was mario kart with real cars. I never did buy the full version though. Seeing at $15 has peaked my interest again.

- Five future technologies for passenger air travel presented by National Geographic.
What does the future hold for passenger air travel? National Geographic takes a look at some future technologies being developed right now. You just might be commuting at twice the speed of sound in a dart-like airplane and then arriving at the airport of the future. Do all airplanes of the future all have free in-flight wi-fi? That would be totally cool.
