...with rumors and images of a slimmed down motherboard floating around the Internet, we may soon see a version of the system without slots for memory units at all. Whatever happens in the future, USB storage has become cheap; this news may cause a newfound interest in the Xbox 360 Arcade hardware.

According to a company press release, Game Room will be a “place to relive the glory days of arcade games,” complete with a pay-to-play option that charges 40 MS Points (50 cents) per play of one game.

Controller-free gaming will be yours for the taking sometime before the year is out. There is still no word on how much this thing will cost but you can take comfort in knowing that it will work with all current Xbox 360 systems. Joy.

Microsoft is teasing some brand new functionality as well as a makeover to some of the existing features from the first season. Aaside from the weekly MS points giveaways, the prizes seem to be of a bigger scale as well (HDTVs, laptops, etc).

- Final Fantasy XIII for Xbox 360 is about seventy percent complete.
He said that the game is up and running well on Microsoft's hardware but they have not started the debugging process yet. Work on the english version of the game is also moving along well. Kitase confirmed that all the voice work has now been recorded.

I've only hopped on the 360 bandwagon recently, but I've never looked back. It's awesome.
