Turns out that people really do like an alternative to mobile Safari on their beloved iPhones. The application is also currently in the number one position in all twenty-two flavors of the app store.

Google intends to open its TV platform, which is based on its Android operating system for smartphones, to software developers. The company hopes the move will spur the same outpouring of creativity that consumers have seen in applications for cellphones.

Some interesting bits of free software to try out if you haven't already. I still haven't gotten around to testing out Google Chrome on the beloved Mac. I'll be giving that a whirl today. Also, it's a shame that Magnifique doesn't work with Snow Leopard - would've liked to try that one out as well.

Since I figured I had blown the interview, I had nothing to lose. So I did my cover letter in the form of a semi-graphic adventure. I drew the pictures on my Koala pad, and printed the whole thing out on my Atari 800 dot-matrix printer.

For the first stage of the contest, which will be called Big Apps, the city will release what Bloomberg described as a “huge volume of data” from various city agencies. He gave the example of creating a mobile application out of the Health Department’s restaurant grades.
