- Twenty-one unfilmable books that managed to make it to the big screen.
Even Rotten Tomatoes agrees that some of the books that made it onto this list should have never been considered for major motion picture filming in the first place. Yep, looking in your direction Cat in the Hat.

Playing with my new FujiFilm F550 EXR. Loving it so far, it's nice to be able to capture a shot like this using a mid-range point and shoot. Bonus: used the camera's EXR mode for this which automatically detected that I was attempting a macro shot and adjusted internal settings accordingly. Take that, manual settings!Location:

- Reviews starting to come in for the very last Harry Potter movie.
It ends well. After eight films in 10 years and a cumulative global box-office take of more than $6.3 billion, the most successful franchise in the history of movies comes to an obligatory -- and quite satisfying -- conclusion in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Fully justifying the decision, once thought purely mercenary, of splitting J.K. Rowling's final book into two parts, this is an exciting and, to put it mildly, massively eventful finale that will grip and greatly please anyone who has been at all a fan of the series up to now.

- Next installment of Pirates of the Caribbean to be filmed exclusively in 3D.
Yes, the next you see Jack Sparrow on the big screen you'll be able see him in multiple dimensions. Filming in 3D offers up obvious some advantages over adding useless effects in post - though you may up seeing a bevy of Avatar-like effects (not necessarily a bad thing). POTC4 will be swash-buckling into theaters May 2011.

- A handy tutorial on how to obtain free movie tickets.
There are some interesting methods listed here that you can use to try and score some free movie tickets. Some methods may take longer than others (ie becoming a film critic and/or getting a job at said movie theater). Good luck.

- Fujifilm pulls the curtain back on six new cameras for fall lineup.
I'm a big fan of Fujifilm cameras. Fun GLM fact: most all of the photos in the photoblog were taken on some kind of Fujifilm digital camera.

- FujiFilm to pull the curtain back on first 3-D camera for consumers.
Both methods produce snapshots in which the central subjects appear to pop off the screen or print. A parlor trick? Perhaps, but Fujifilm is gambling that consumers will not only be willing to pay for such special effects, but they'll also pay extra.
