Engadget's thorough review of the brand new Kindle Fire tablet from Amazon.Engadget's thorough review of the brand new Kindle Fire tablet from Amazon.

Engadget covers everything here from the packaging to the performance of Amazon's first real entry into the tablet field. Engadget hails the device as quite an achievement at it's current price point ($200) but they do knock the device some by saying that it can't compete with 'normal' tablets that are currently on the market in some key factors.

Have a peek at the future look of the Firefox user interface straight from Mozilla.Have a peek at the future look of the Firefox user interface straight from Mozilla.

There are some design concepts you may easily recognize if you happen to already be a Google Chrome user. Also, there seems to be a couple dashes of Safari thrown in there as well for good measure (although anytime you add the Mac traffic lights on a mockup I come to that conclusion). For those interested the developer tools have a brand new look as well, could be quite useful.

More people returned Logitech's Google TV box than actually purchased it in the first quarter.More people returned Logitech's Google TV box than actually purchased it in the first quarter.

Ouch, with news this bad it can only mean one thing... price drop! If you are so bold to purchase one of these boxes you'll only be paying $99 bucks as opposed to the $249 you would have originally had to spend. You'll learn to love the clunky interface and all it's complicated intricacies, that is unless your cable company hasn't blocked you from using it. Good luck!

YouTube experimenting with the new design dubbed Cosmic Panda.YouTube experimenting with the new design dubbed Cosmic Panda.

I had a chance to try this out last night and I liked the experience. The new design seems to take a couple cues from Hulu and other video sites by utilizing a darker background to make the video pop more. The other neat thing is that the comments will scroll while keeping the video locked to the top of screen and in view. That is surely a welcome change for those who enjoy reading inane YouTube comments. You can try it out for yourself over yonder.

Have a peek at some near-final screenshots of the Windows Phone 7 interface.Have a peek at some near-final screenshots of the Windows Phone 7 interface.

I find parts of this user interface to be very depressing (granted it's not final but near-final sounds like their pretty close). The data entry screens are bland, colorless, and lifeless. Almost as if you're signing a death warrant on someone when you want to add them as a contact. Not very inviting.

An interesting writeup on iPad usability from Jakob Nielsen. An interesting writeup on iPad usability from Jakob Nielsen.

This post contains most of my reasoning as to why I haven't purchased an iPad just yet. I can't seem to rationalize how the device fits into my overall usage scheme. The iPhone seems to do everything I would use an iPad for - and it does a heck of a good job at everything it already does.

Nokia's N97 phone interface turns out to be a little different from the promo video.Nokia's N97 phone interface turns out to be a little different from the promo video.

The iPhone really has changed the landscape of smartphones and it's plain to see after you see the video from the source link. You'll see some attractive looking transitions and animations  that somehow skipped the actual device. You'll want to give your trusty iPhone a hug after watching this.

Microsoft decides to go with AT&T for their upcoming Windows 7 phone.Microsoft decides to go with AT&T for their upcoming Windows 7 phone.

Interesting move considering how much AT&T is bashed for their poor and spotty coverage as it relates to all things iPhone. Although, I have to admit I've never had a real issue with AT&T in terms of service here in the NYC suburbs. Maybe I have a magical account.

Microsoft pulls the curtain back on their brand new Zune-like Phone.Microsoft pulls the curtain back on their brand new Zune-like Phone.

That's quite an interesting user interface that Microsoft has come up with for this device and I wonder how useful it will actually be in day-to-day use. Also, I appreciate their underlying message/tactic of designing the gadget to be the complete opposite of the iPhone.

A video review of the transparent display of the future.A video review of the transparent display of the future.

Wow, that's pretty cool. The display is forty percent transparent at all times yet has a 100,000 to one contrast ratio. Perhaps we will see that interface from Minority Report come to life after all.

The OS takes just seven seconds to boot up (at least this version does anyway). There is also some footage of the user interface as well. Still want more? There is some additional information along with a concept video over on Google's official blog.

From a UI point of view that sure is a lot of visual information to take in at once. Also, it's interesting that the links don't end up back to the source publication but rather a larger screenshot on Google - most of the time without advertising (source article is now two clicks away).
