Photoblog: Tomato Fibers
Tomato Fibers

Playing with my new FujiFilm F550 EXR. Loving it so far, it's nice to be able to capture a shot like this using a mid-range point and shoot. Bonus: used the camera's EXR mode for this which automatically detected that I was attempting a macro shot and adjusted internal settings accordingly. Take that, manual settings!

Another quick macro shot snapped up while doodling with the kids using an obvious assorted array of crayons. Taste the rainbow.

Photoblog: Plumbing Exploits
Plumbing Exploits

Posted in honor of my recent mishaps in the world of plumbing. This little shot was taken at the kid's museum over in Norwalk (Stepping Stones) which is in fact, fun for the whole family.

An amazing collection of liquid art to feast your eyes upon.An amazing collection of liquid art to feast your eyes upon.

What better way to end your day than with a splash of liquidy-colorful goodness. These photos were shot by combining soundwaves with water-based paint using a mic-triggered camera. Wow.

Photoblog: Benched
Benched

A macro shot taken way back in 2007 from a certain Disney theme park, in a certain part of TomorrowLand, on a certain bench across from the Speedway. What can I say, I'm a Disney nerd.

Photoblog: Ink Blots
Ink Blots

An artsy macro shot captured whilst splatter painting with the kids. Sure, the end result is a little dark and depressing but it's a nice contrast compared to the fun we were actually having throwing paint everywhere.

Photoblog: Loch Ness Gorilla
Loch Ness Gorilla

Weird shot I picked up after bringing in the kid's zoo toys after some rain. And yes, that would be a gorilla. But on another note, who decided that gorillas have bright green eyes? Shame on you, Bronx Zoo Gift Shop.

The first new photoblog post of GLM 4.0!  This photo seemed relevant to post what with all of the buckets of rain we've been getting here in New York. You can view more of my homebrew psuedo photography via the photoblog tab in the navigation bar above - its cleverly labeled 'photoblog'.
