Movie ticket sales managed to surpass DVD sales in 2009.Movie ticket sales managed to surpass DVD sales in 2009.

The last time this happened was way back in 2002. Also, it turns out that people really like renting movies these days rather than pay ridiculous prices to actually own said DVDs. Hooray for Hollywood.

We’ll introduce some new young Ghostbusters, and all the old guys will be in it, too. Think Christopher Lloyd in Back to the Future ... GB3 is progressing with plans to shoot next summer and release in 2011.

Avatar flick still doing pretty well for James Cameron and company.Avatar flick still doing pretty well for James Cameron and company.

The film has raked in a whopping $232 billion thus far. Source website seems to think that Avatar is well on it's way to reaching the likes of Star Wars ($460.9 million) and maybe even Cameron's own Titantic ($1.8 billion). Not sure how you can equate $232 million to $1.8 billion that quickly though.

Five gaping plot holes that Hollywood hopes you'll never notice.Five gaping plot holes that Hollywood hopes you'll never notice.

The same T-Rex sneaking up and saving our heroes from the raptors like he's Mr. Miyagi. We don't know the T-Rex is there until it's snapping raptors in half, and by then everything's way too awesome to wonder where all the goddamn earth quaking disappeared to.

You may actually see some of these movies on a prime time station if the networks feel they could get some decent ratings. I mean c'mon, A Merry Madagascar?

Nine of the worst tech movies according to CNN.Nine of the worst tech movies according to CNN.

OK, I can agree with most of the choices on this list but said list could have easily been doubled due to the amount of silly technology that has appeared in movies over the years. Case in point: Independence Day. In which Jeff Goldblum's character manages to hack an alien computer... using Mac OS 9.

Looks kind of interesting, heres to hoping this movie is in no way similiar to Spider-Man 3 or *gasp* Batman Forever. Seriously, why does a superhero movie need more than one main villain? The answer is we don't. Thanks.

Ten ways that space travel is nothing like how it appears in television or movies.Ten ways that space travel is nothing like how it appears in television or movies.

You might get an outburst of energy during an explosion on a spacecraft and maybe even some quick flames burning up leaking oxygen, but it wouldn’t be anything near the spectacle of, say, the Death Star exploding in Star Wars.

Apparently this happens at least once every Winter somewhere in America (in this case Boise, Idaho). Let that be a lesson to all of you daring kids out there. Don't be like poor Flick.

This new trailer seems to be a mix of some new footage along with a bevy of clips from the older movies interspersed in there as well. The end result makes it kinda look like a fan-made trailer you'd see on YouTube.
