Daily Grind: Semi-productive

Name: Vin (aka workhorse)
How Vin feels today: Semiproductive @ 2:06:48 PM
What Vin really wants today: To be fully productive as opposed to just semi-productive which in turn would be quite swell but alas, I am only semi-productive today. Meh, I blame the cold medicine.

Music Stuck in Head: Harpua / Phish
Yes, you too can enjoy a little Harpua on YouTube to make the day pass along just a wee bit quicker.

Stuff to do today:

  • Drag big clunky non-flatscreen television to curb this evening
  • Call town to alert them of bulbous trash offering
  • Prep dank basement for inspection
  • Clear cobwebs and various giant insects
  • Move on to topics with less dank, insects and cobwebs
  • Hey look, Google's brand new Nexus One phone has been released today
  • ...eh I'll stick with the iPhone thanks
  • Read up on some more Apple tablet rumors
  • Stop making giddy noises

Google will most likely pull the curtain back on their very own Android smartphone today.Google will most likely pull the curtain back on their very own Android smartphone today.

Creating its own handset reflects Google’s effort to expand advertising sales on mobile devices, a market that may grow to between $2 billion and $3 billion in the U.S. by 2013, up from less than $1 billion now, according to Sanford C. Bernstein & Co.

Google files patent to possibly turn YouTube into some sort of video game service.Google files patent to possibly turn YouTube into some sort of video game service.

An interesting concept but I'd have to see it to believe it. From my personal experience watching many a YouTube video; the less interaction the better. Or this all could just be, as the source article states, another way for Google to inject more advertising into video content.

Google to host their very own Android press gathering on January 5th.Google to host their very own Android press gathering on January 5th.

This just might be (and probably will be) the day that Google unveils their brand new mobile phone that they intend to sell directly via their website. Also, T-Mobile may or may not be the carrier of choice for this device.
