Have a peek at some screenshots of the upcoming Facebook app for iPad.Have a peek at some screenshots of the upcoming Facebook app for iPad.

TechCrunch, as well as many others, found out that Facebook was hiding a secret app (not really secret, universal apps contain both sets of code for iPhone and iPad bundled together - although jailbreaking is required to figure that one out) in their latest iPhone app update. That 'secret' turned out to be the official Facebook app for iPhone. TechCrunch has a whole slew of screenshots that you can take a look at as to properly get yourself prepared the social media onslaught.

Have a peek at some near-final screenshots of the Windows Phone 7 interface.Have a peek at some near-final screenshots of the Windows Phone 7 interface.

I find parts of this user interface to be very depressing (granted it's not final but near-final sounds like their pretty close). The data entry screens are bland, colorless, and lifeless. Almost as if you're signing a death warrant on someone when you want to add them as a contact. Not very inviting.

An interesting writeup on iPad usability from Jakob Nielsen. An interesting writeup on iPad usability from Jakob Nielsen.

This post contains most of my reasoning as to why I haven't purchased an iPad just yet. I can't seem to rationalize how the device fits into my overall usage scheme. The iPhone seems to do everything I would use an iPad for - and it does a heck of a good job at everything it already does.

A new crop of images have surfaced online for the upcoming Tron sequel.A new crop of images have surfaced online for the upcoming Tron sequel.

I'm loving the upgrades to some of the items from the original Tron and seeing how they've been reimagined for this generation. C'mon, you know you'd want to take a ride on a light cycle. And remember kids, Tron Legacy is due in theaters this December. END OF LINE.

Early review screenings of Toy Story 3 coming back quite positive already.Early review screenings of Toy Story 3 coming back quite positive already.

The folks over at CNET were lucky enough to get an advance screening of the movie and their consensus is that this installment will be a very big winner. Not that it wasn't a hard prediction to make even without seeing a screener but this is a neat read nonetheless for my fellow Pixar fans out there.

A collection of weird places in which some version of Tetris has been placed.A collection of weird places in which some version of Tetris has been placed.

From graphic calculators to PIN terminals, it looks more and more like there really isn't a device that can't play Tetris. Also, that watch pictured in the thumbnail is quite stylish. Just look at that bling!

Amazon decides to acquire flexible touchscreen company. Wonder why?Amazon decides to acquire flexible touchscreen company. Wonder why?

Yes, you may be seeing the end of boring black and white e-ink on your beloved Kindle at some point in the near future. I could be wrong though, maybe black and white multitouch screens will be all the rage. The possibilities!

Fabled Apple tablet may finally appear in January thanks to blessing of Steve Jobs.Fabled Apple tablet may finally appear in January thanks to blessing of Steve Jobs.

According to MacRumors, Steve Jobs is quite happy with how the device turned out. There's also that little rumor going around about a media event at the end of January in which Apple has asked certain developers to convert their apps to 'full-screen' use.

Twenty-five awesome fast food toys through the years.Twenty-five awesome fast food toys through the years.

Ah, fast food memories. I think I still have some of these beauties laying around somewhere in a box in the attic. On a related note, actual McDonald's burgers seem to age just as well.

Nintendo to pull the curtain back on big-screen DSi console.Nintendo to pull the curtain back on big-screen DSi console.

The company expects larger screens will attract elderly people who complained that the existing version is hard to look at, while leading to new applications such as reading electronic books and watching video, it said.

From a UI point of view that sure is a lot of visual information to take in at once. Also, it's interesting that the links don't end up back to the source publication but rather a larger screenshot on Google - most of the time without advertising (source article is now two clicks away).
