- An interesting video showing off the impressive CGI used in Game of Thrones.
Andy Gavin has written a post with a behind the scenes video from HBO's Game of Thrones depicting how most of the locations are built using modern CGI and clever scouting. If you've watched the show (and I highly recommend that you do) some of the per-CGI moments in the video may actually take you by surprise, once you see their post-CGI counterparts.

- Some casting news for next season of Game of Thrones for those interested.
After seeing the first season I've been hooked on this show and can't wait for season two (which will most likely surface next year). The books are also a fun read as well and I recommend them to anyone looking to pick up on their summer reading. If you are more of a summer television watcher then go watch the series, you won't be disappointed.

- Reviews starting to come in for the very last Harry Potter movie.
It ends well. After eight films in 10 years and a cumulative global box-office take of more than $6.3 billion, the most successful franchise in the history of movies comes to an obligatory -- and quite satisfying -- conclusion in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Fully justifying the decision, once thought purely mercenary, of splitting J.K. Rowling's final book into two parts, this is an exciting and, to put it mildly, massively eventful finale that will grip and greatly please anyone who has been at all a fan of the series up to now.

- Have a peek at some near-final screenshots of the Windows Phone 7 interface.
I find parts of this user interface to be very depressing (granted it's not final but near-final sounds like their pretty close). The data entry screens are bland, colorless, and lifeless. Almost as if you're signing a death warrant on someone when you want to add them as a contact. Not very inviting.

- Fake Steve Jobs to get his very own half-hour television sitcom.
What makes this interesting is the addition one of the staff writers from 'Seinfeld' who will be pitching in on development of the series. Bring in the Mossberg puppet as the cranky neighbor and you've got a hit show.

- Disney lets loose that a Tron animated series is currently in the works.
Disney has announced that a Tron animated series is currently in development and will probably air soon after the release of the Tron: Legacy sequel. Also of note is that the series will be of the micro variety which means you'll be getting five minute episodes at first to see if you really care enough to watch thirty minute episodes.

- Live action Star Wars television series might be hitting the air in 2012.
The show is rumored to be of the hour-long drama variety and may feature very few characters (if any) from the existing Star Wars universe. Sounds good so far. Note to LucasFilm: please follow The Force Unleashed plotline.

- Preview trailer for Season 4 of Dexter now online.
John Lithgow confirmed! Trailer (and Dexter in general) is not for the faint of heart.
