Panic takes a look at the magic behind the album art color schemes in iTunes 11.Panic takes a look at the magic behind the album art color schemes in iTunes 11.

If you've used iTunes 11 you may have noticed the adaptive colors used in some of your favorite albums. Apple could have just displayed a thumbnail and used the same colors for text everywhere but instead chose to theme each album to go along with it's individual art. This kind of little touch is really what has always se Apple apart from the rest. The good folks at Panic delve into the kind of programming and logic that may have gone into this kind of display paradigm. It's a great read even if you aren't a developer but its an even greater read if you because they include sample code.

Rumors swirling that Disney's Hollywood Studios will be getting a Radiator Springs makeover.Rumors swirling that Disney's Hollywood Studios will be getting a Radiator Springs makeover.

While this news is by no means official it sounds like a formal announcement may be right around the corner. Full disclosure: I am a gigantic Disney nerd. My kids, by association, are also gigantic Disney nerds. But they also happen to be huge fans of the Cars movies. Ask us to recite any line and you'll hear the whole movie. The recently opened Cars Land in California has been met with postivive reviews from fans and non-fans of the franchise. Being that we reside on the East Coast, a trip to Florida is way more feasible than a trip out to California. Ka-chow!

A gallery of the world's worst playgrounds through the playful eye of Photoshop.A gallery of the world's worst playgrounds through the playful eye of Photoshop.

As a kid did anyone ever actually play a game of Tic Tac Toe on one of these things? Who thought this was a good idea? Oh, and be careful going down that twisty slide, you may get wet.

In the future we will all be able to take part in the great spectable that is Dolphin Racing. I wonder if anyone submitted anything of the Blitzball variety - that would have just been nerdtastic.

Honest products through the truthful eye of Photoshop.Honest products through the truthful eye of Photoshop.

You can always count on a Photoshop contest to reveal the true nature of popular products and services. You'll also get a quick education about the popular consensus of said product and/or service. Handy and redundant.

Yet another quality Photoshop contest from the folks at Worth1000.com. Be warned, viewing some of the submissions in this post may cause hunger pangs and/or a strange desire to go play Candyland. Now exit my burger hole.

Disney makes good use of their monorail system for some new ads. Tron-orails!Disney makes good use of their monorail system for some new ads. Tron-orails!

This is some particularly clever advertising from the folks over at Disney for the upcoming reboot of Tron (coming out December 17t h).  Of course the effect may be lost if the monorail happens to be traveling in the opposite direction of the ad but that's a minor detail.

Miniature cities, towns and things through the minuscule eye of Photoshop.Miniature cities, towns and things through the minuscule eye of Photoshop.

Remember that episode of The Simpsons where Lisa inadvertently grew a tiny city as a science project? This is kind of like that. Yes, it seems that I can relate any post to some kind of Simpsons episode. Now bring me some shoes.

Marvel stockholders decide to go ahead and approve the Disney merger.Marvel stockholders decide to go ahead and approve the Disney merger.

Disney officially has the rights to over five thousand of your favorite Marvel comic book characters. You can expect to see most of these characters in the next Kingdom Hearts game or at the very least some kind of Disney versus Marvel Street Fighter type game (which actually sounds kind of cool come to think of it).
