Interesting news when combined with the all-to-recent rumors of an Android tablet coming to Verizon. And apparently Google has already even gotten approvals from roughly 25,000 authors and publishers.

Few will be surprised at the notion that Google and Verizon are heading down this path: The New York Times reported last month that Google was working on a slate-style Android tablet along the lines of Apple's iPad.

Verizon (30%), T-Mobile (17%) and Sprint (15%) make up the bulk of the rest of the market. The numbers may also reflect the late lifecycle of the iPhone 3GS compared to the newer android devices. Apple is also widely expected to revise the iPhone in the next month.

The phone is dubbed as 'Project Pink' (but may just end up being called 'Pink') and runs the brand new Windows Phone 7 mobile operating system.  Verizon is most likely the exclusive carrier.

Gee, this wouldn't have anything to do with a certain company coming out with a certain product that may or may not be tablet-related does it? Maybe this is a clue that Verizon will have something to do with the impending iSlate? Maybe it's just wishful thinking.

The charges in question were actually caused by the data usage of a thirteen year old boy. The bright side to all of this is that Verizon has stepped in and made a promise to credit the entire amount of astronomical charges.

There's much more along these lines. The FCC also wants a detailed accounting of the 'the cost differentials that Verizon pays for advanced devices over what it charges its customers.'

He argued that imposing stricter regulations would pit network providers against application providers in a way that would ruin the Internet's potential for economic growth and societal change.

Yikes - put this product in the 'never speak of again' file. Why didn't they pair this device with their FiOS offering from the beginning? Seems like common sense. Also, people don't seem to be fond of additional monthly fees.
